Weekend June 4-5 and today, June 6

Helllo!!!

So I had a great weekend in Tokyo and Yokohama. I went with the other Japan co-ops that lived near and on the way. Man, I would get so lost if they werent there with me. @_@ I think I should've gotten myself an iphone. They seem really convenient. But it would be like cutting a hole in my wallet. haha. Yeah, so on Saturday we went around Yokohama and went sightseeing mostly. Also there's this amusement park with a hugeee ferris wheel. And we all agreed to ride it! It wasnt that great to be honest. hahaha like the view i guess. Oh well, at least I can say I went on one, the ferris wheels you see all the time in animes and mangas. XD Yeah went to Chukagai, which is the chinatown in yokohama. It was reallly clean and nothing like vancouver's chinatown. It was more of a ... tourist attraction. Unlike the one in vancouver, where they actually sell vegetables and fruits for cheap. XD and it was hugeee. I kinda liked it there, next time I go i'm going to take my time and maybe shop there or something. Yeah there were shopping centers in Yokohama so maybe I'll go loner shopping. Also went to minato mirai where the coast is? and there's also a park nearby. Nice place to sit down, relax and enjoy the sunshine. It was a good and warm day that day. But we had places to go so we moved on.

We went on this!

YAP. So Sunday, we covered Shinjuku, then Shibuya, and lastly Akihabara!
There was soooo much to see. Again, we just did a lot of sight seeing around the streets. Not so much shopping. So again, I will probably go there alone someday if I get the chance and do some loner slopping there too. XD Hopefully I dont get lost lol. Shibuya! busiest intersection in the world. We went crazy filming and stuff in the middle of crossing the street. I was bumping into people too. It was a really cool experience. That's how a lot of intersections in Japan work. They let all the cars have their turn in crossing, then all at once, everyone from all sides of the streets cross to whatever side they want. neaaaaat stuff! After shibuya we went to Akihabara. Electronic city/town? and also otaku land. Place filled with electronics and anime and manga. Yeahhh... anything you can think of related to those three things I just listed you can probably find them. Also, AKB48 which is a girl band... in which AKB happens to stand for akihabara is everywhere! You can find their photos and merchandise for sale in a lot of stores. And they play their songs everywhere too. lol. We got lucky and managed to see a part of their concert on a screen in a room just next to where the actual concert was being held. Neat experience.

Shinjuku
Shibuya! Taken from a window at the station. I'll upload a video soon :D
Akihabara. Not a good photo =/ oh well.

Anyway, I probalby have a lot more to say about it but now I am tired and exhausted and should go to bed. I dont want what happend today happening again tmorrow at work... So I slept at around 2am last night and woke up at like 7, nearly slept in cus i cancelled my alarm at 6:30... and my ipod alarm was off ><. And the whole day i was trying to stay awake. The heat was nasty too... It made me want to sleep even more.

Oh I wanted to comment on today's dinner. So I dont have a rice cooker so I had to use a pot... It was going great, but I should've checked it more often... cus it started burning at the bottom when I finally did check it. It was crispy rice, okay at first but it gets chewy and hard to bite afterwards XD Yeah! Anyway my dinner wasnt so bad. I had it with broccoli, shitake mushrooms, canned eel, chicken, and instant curry! Yummy. I'll probably make something similar tmorrow since I need to finish the left overs. That's all for today. Good night ^^

Crunchy rice :(

Finished product, yum yum, except for the chewy rice.
